Student Loan Repayment: When will I see my Employer Contributions to my Student Loan Repayment Plan?

If you are on a Student Loan Repayment Plan; when you start seeing contributions will depend on your Employer’s plan.

You might have a holding period from your start date. It also depends on when you elect to participate and complete loan verification. Once your loan is verified, you will receive an email from [e-mail] that describes the first month your contribution will be recorded on payroll.

Example:

	January	February
Employer contribution recorded on your payroll	X
Employer contribution recorded on your student loan account		X

Please note, that some employers will choose not to record a contribution on payroll if the contribution qualifies under section 127 and can be excluded from gross income. In these cases, the timing of payments remains the same as if the payroll entry had been made.
